Icon - Anchor status.svgAnchor institutions are large organisations focused on creating positive social and economic impact in local communities through employment, procurement, and the management of buildings and spaces.

CNWL is an anchor organisation collaborating with key institutions across North Central London, North West London, and Bedford, Luton, and Milton Keynes to address unfair and avoidable health differences, such as life expectancy, health conditions, and access to care in these regions.

The Trust can positively impact local communities by strengthening the local economy and environment, both of which contribute to improved health outcomes for individuals and communities.

CNWL was accredited as a Living Wage Employer in June 2023.living wage.png

Our living wage commitment will see everyone working at CNWL receive a minimum hourly wage of £12.60, which is more than the government minimum for over 21s, which currently stands at £11.44 per hour.

The real living wage is the only rate calculated according to the costs of living. It provides a voluntary benchmark for employers so their staff can earn a wage they can live on, not just the government minimum.

We’ve committed to pay the real living wage and deliver a fair day’s pay for a hard day’s work.
