The Children’s Integrated Therapy Service (CITS) offer online training sessions for professionals and setting staff over two fortnight periods per year. These are currently held in May and November.

Setting training
Nurseries and settings are welcome to attend the parent training workshops run by the Early Years service and can contact the CITS Admin line to book onto a session.
The Early Years Speech and Language Therapy team are also offering training as part of the Children’s Integrated Therapy Service (CITS) online training where there are sessions offered by all of the therapy services. Dates for this training are published in the SEND newsletter and flyers are sent out to school SENCO’s.

- If you have concerns about a child’s feeding skills and would like to make a dysphagia referral, please complete the attached pro forma along with the CITS referral form to the Speech and Language Therapy Service.

School staff
Schools are able to request that their link speech and language therapist offers bespoke training for their school. SENCO’s can discuss training requests with their speech and language therapist at the beginning of each term.
The mainstream schools speech and language therapy team are also offering training as part of the Children’s Integrated Therapy Service (CITS) online training where there are sessions offered by all of the therapy services. Parents/carers
The mainstream schools speech and language therapy team is offering parent/carer only training.
Parent/carers wanting to attend training need to contact the CITS Advice Line on 01895 488 200 and ask to be booked on to a session.
Your child does not need a referral to access the training, but we may need to prioritise training for parents/carers of children known to speech and language therapy service.
If you are not sure which training is right for you, then please speak to your child’s therapist or ask to speak to the duty speech and language therapist and they can help you.
