CNWL's Quality Improvement Team and staff from Sexual Health were delighted to host a visit from the Aurum Institute in February 2023.
The team of improvement advisors from the South African organisation toured CNWL's Mortimer Market Centre to understand more about the systems and processes involved in CNWL's HIV treatment and care pathways and discussed how to improve the process of starting Anti-Retroviral Therapy. The Aurum Institute is currently carrying out work to improve HIV care in both metropolitan and rural areas of Africa.
The teams explored a range of topics surrounding the patient journey from screening to testing, to initiation of treatment, retention, prevention and missed appointments. It was a great opportunity for sharing and learning between teams who are passionate and driven to improve HIV care irrespective of geography, location and context.
The team of international improvement advisors were Suzette Landman Senior Quality Improvement Advisor, Jeofrey Rasethe, Quality Improvement Advisor and Amos Ndlovu, Programme Manager who were joined by CNWL's Quality Improvement Lead for Sexual Health and HIV Consultant, Alastair Teague and Kevin McPeake, Service Manager at the Mortimer Market Centre.
