Congratulations to the Camden Long-Covid Recovery Team who have been shortlisted as a finalist for the LaingBuisson Awards in 2021. The awards celebrate industry excellence and innovative services within the public, private and third sectors.

The team, part of CNWL’s Integrated Adult Services in Camden, are being recognised in the 'Outstanding Response to Covid in Healthcare' category, which looks for examples of outstanding leadership or service delivery within the healthcare sector during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Clinical Leads Heidi Ridsdale and Rachel Okin (physiotherapists by background) have been part of the first community team to pilot an app called Living With Covid Recovery, which enables assessment and utilises a therapeutic approach to support people with long-covid recovery. With 50 patients using the app so far, the feedback has been very positive. For more details click on this link.

An amazing achievement, and well done to the team for making the shortlist.

Rebecca Dunkerley, Head of Camden Integrated Adult Services, said:

“Well done to the team and to Heidi and Rachel for all you’ve done, and continue to do, to lead the way in community services for post-covid recovery.”

Winners will be announced during a ceremony at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge on 18 November.
