Mental Health Nurses Day aims to celebrate, describe and promote the profession of mental health nursing across the UK. It's also an opportunity to recognise the role of mental health nurses globally.
Before leaving CNWL last week, Helen Willetts, Interim Chief Nurse shared a few heartfelt words:
"Whether you work in our adult services, children's services, or specialist teams, the incredible work you do does not go unnoticed. Thank you to all of you, and to those on the temporary staffing bank - you play a crucial role in delivering the exceptional care that our patients deserve.
Our nursing workforce continues to grow, and I am pleased to share that we've exceeded our target for attracting talented nurses from overseas. It's also wonderful to see so many of you engage in our Chief Nurse Fellows Programme, 21CLP, and new nursing roles that have further strengthened our nursing family.
There are countless opportunities within the Trust, and we encourage you to consider staying with us as you progress throughout your career.
On this Mental Health Nurses Day, I hope you take a moment to raise a 'cup' in celebration and reflect on why you chose this vital profession.
You should be extremely proud of the difference you make every day. We are proud to support all of our nurses in providing the best and safest care for those who need it most."
Thank you to our Mental Health Nurses!
