Volunteers’ Week takes place in the first week of June (3 to 9 June) and celebrates the amazing contributions volunteers make to communities across the UK. It also offers a formal opportunity to recognise, celebrate and thank all the incredible volunteers for all they contribute to staff, patients and carers wellbeing.

Here at CNWL our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do.

It’s not just about the time you give; it’s about the connections you build and the joy you bring. Every task you undertake brightens someone’s day, showing just how much every moment counts.

With over 150 volunteers across roles like admin, day services and hospital care, they have enhanced the lives of over 1,000 individuals in the last year alone.

Our Volunteer to Career programme (VtC), transforms volunteer experiences into healthcare careers. Since October 2022, we've supported 53 volunteers and have successfully placed 34 volunteers in NHS job roles and developed volunteer positions.Volunteer-card-2024.PNG

A thank you card was sent out to all our volunteers, from Nuria de Miguel, Volunteer Services Manager and Chief Executive, Claire Murdoch.

Celebration event

We will be having a volunteer celebration event later at the end of month, to honour the hard work and dedication of their volunteers. They truly appreciate and value their volunteers’ time, commitment, passion and skills in helping CNWL staff, service users and communities over the last year, and want to express their heartfelt thanks!

The event will include participating in some fun filled activities and games, a chance to mingle with other volunteers and staff members, as well as celebrate everyone’s incredible achievements together.
