From 1 January 2024, CNWL’s Talking Therapies Service in Harrow will offer support to people with mild to moderate difficulties or who have recently become anxious or depressed with Step 2 treatments by Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners. This part of the service is currently delivered by Mind in Harrow, in partnership with CNWL, but will now transfer over to CNWL fully.

What are step 2 treatments?

Step 2 treatments are low intensity interventions for people who have mild to moderate difficulties or who have recently become anxious or depressed. Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners deliver these sessions as well as signposting to self-help resources and tools.

CNWL currently offers Step 3 treatments in Harrow which are delivered by Psychological Therapists for people with mild to severe or long term anxiety or depression. The Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners will move over to CNWL to work together in the same service.

Who does the service help?

CNWL offers a range of therapies in Harrow, all supported by evidence.

The service is for people in Harrow who are 17 years and over, with a GP in the borough of Harrow, who are experiencing common mental health difficulties such as stress, anxiety, depression, low mood, worry, and not getting support from other mental health services.
