To wrap up our summer term, CNWL Arts in Health organised a picnic at Green Park on a sunny day, followed by a tour of the Royal Academy of Arts’ renowned ‘Summer Exhibition,’ and a closing group activity in their reflective space.

This exhibition featured a diverse collection of artwork, showcasing pieces from emerging talents to well-established figures in contemporary art and architecture like Tracey Emin and El Anatsui. With a history spanning over 250 years, the Summer Exhibition continues to present a wide array of works across various media, including painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, architecture, and film.

After the group picnic, our participants had a chance to see an array of different themes and subjects, meaning they could find pieces they personally connected with. The rich and diverse artwork was a good conclusion to a year filled with different artistic creations by our participants.
