We held a virtual celebration to wrap up Volunteers Week (1 to 7 June 2022), where CNWL colleagues came together to share messages of appreciation, and showcase the impact of volunteers within the organisation.

Nuria De Miguel our Volunteer Services Manager said:

“We celebrate your contributions to CNWL, but also admire your commitment and determination, especially in the face of many challenges over the last two years. From everyone in CNWL we pass on our message of thanks for everything you do, and everything you do that contributes to patient care. It helps to put a smile on people’s faces.”

Graeme Caul, Chief Operating Officer, also joined the celebration with a message of thanks:

“Volunteering has been very important and influential in my own life. When I was a student, I purposefully did a lot of volunteering. It’s helped me build experience, introduce me to different communities, different people and helped me in my career.

“I wanted to say a massive thank you to all those involved with our volunteering services. The contribution you make to our Trust, for our patients and our service users is phenomenal and really helps us deliver the best care we can. You help make CNWL the Trust it is. You add vibrancy, you help us learn what we do well, tell us where we can improve, and you’re a fresh pair of eyes when you come in. It helps us improve everything we do and we couldn’t do that without your support.”

We also have thank you messages from Maria O’Brien, our Chief Nurse, Dr Cornelius Kelly, our Chief Medical Officer, Linda and Rania from our Check in & Chat Service, as well as Cate Latto, One Community Lead.
