Planning is underway for the development of the CNWL Milton Keynes Recovery and Wellbeing College.
This will provide a range of co-produced educational courses, workshops and resources to people who use CNWL services, their supporters including friends, family or carers and CNWL staff.
Developing the Milton Keynes Recovery College spoke fulfils a long-held ambition within staff who wanted a physical base in the locality to make it easier for people to attend courses rather than having to travel to London bases where CNWL’ host these sessions.
The college will be based in CNWL’s existing Queensway Clinic in Bletchley, which is also the current site of the Milton Keynes crisis café, hub therapies, peer support and IPS teams. It is hoped the college will be open by June this year, however a clear start date has not been set as of yet.
The building will continue to be used by the Crisis Café, peer support workers and employment specialties along with Rethink who will be running a community inclusion service alongside the Recovery College.
The Milton Keynes Recovery College spoke represents the culmination of the work of several stakeholders in Milton Keynes and the hope is this will add additional choice and support to the Milton Keynes community.
