On Friday 29 November, the Queen’s Nursing Institute (QNI) hosted its annual awards ceremony, bringing together over 500 community nurses to celebrate the incredible work being done across nursing services - whether it’s through patient care, education, leadership, or innovation.

The night included the presentation of some of the most prestigious awards in nursing, including the Queen’s Nurse title and the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Award for Outstanding Service.

The Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Award for Outstanding Service is a distinctive honour reserved for community nurses who deliver exceptional care and show an enduring passion for their profession.

This year, Pamela Duke, Service Director of the North West London Occupational Health Shared Service (host by CNWL) was one of the well-deserving recipients.

Congratulations to Pam and several other CNWL nurses who received this year’s Queen’s Nurse Award. The Queen’s Nurse title is not an award for past service but indicates a commitment to high standards of patient care, learning and leadership.

Congratulations to:

  • Zoe Hartwig and Paul Pola, Managers at Milton Keynes District Nursing Service
  • Izzy Burch and Deborah Herron, District Nurse Team Leaders in Milton Keynes
  • Soroyo Mhizha, Clinical Team Leader, North West London Occupational Health Shared Service (host by CNWL)
