Our 21st Century Leadership Programme (21CLP) was highly commended for the ‘Best Learning and Development Initiative’ at the CIPD People Management Awards.

This award recognises how a creative and effective learning and development initiative has contributed to the success of the organisation and its people.

21CLP is the Trust’s new way of developing the leaders of the future, by creating a values-driven, compassionate leadership programme for our staff.

Participants will develop an understanding of how to embrace and master the management of core complexities of working in the NHS related to corporate services and to the delivery of excellent care in our local communities.

Every module is underpinned by the Trust Values, our SCARF (Safe, Compassionate, Accountable, Reflective and Fair) behaviours and our ‘Wellbeing for Life’ Vision.

SCARF, our cultural framework, was also shortlisted for ‘Best Organisational Development or Design Initiative’. They recently took home the gong at this year’s HSJ Patient Safety Awards.

Leaders from the programme attended the award ceremony on 19 September, alongside the current cohort of 21CLP participants. See the pictures below.

Congratulations and well done to our staff!
