This report (opens link) on the Gordon Hospital inpatient wards consultation will be made to the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Select Committee on 2 May.

In March 2020, 51 beds at the Gordon Hospital (provided by CNWL) were temporarily closed to ensure safe staffing levels and rigorous Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) measures for patients and staff during the pandemic. Following the temporary closure of the acute inpatient wards, CNWL is working with North West London Integrated Care Board and with the boroughs affected by the changes, to deliver a public consultation to determine the future of inpatient wards at the site. We are targeting late summer of 2023 for our final assurance gateway with NHS England and will launch the consultation following that. We are working with NWL ICB and NHS England to ensure a robust pre-consultation process that maximises engagement from local stakeholders, as well as testing our clinical model with the London Clinical Senate
