Ela Pathak-Sen, Borough Director for CNWL Westminster said,

“Whilst the wards at The Gordon are closed we will pay reasonable travel expenses for any Westminster patients and families who need support for travel to and from wards outside Westminster.”

“We reiterated that commitment to the Westminster Council Policy and Scrutiny Committee and the Bi-Borough Health and Wellbeing Board.”

“On 19 November, a person contacted us to say this hadn’t happened for him. This was a mistake and he will be reimbursed (and we spoke to him that day); I am sorry this occurred and can see why it would cause some worry and concern to him and others.”

“I have reminded all Borough Directors about this arrangement so the promise is upheld.”
