Today we launch a series of films from the team working at Vincent Square Eating Disorders.
The collection of films showcases the experiences, skills and personality of the people behind the service. The films celebrate their dedication, and the hard work they put into the recovery of others.
Meet Kelsey, Liaison Lead for Eating Disorders Inpatients who describes working with the service as “finding her niche and this is what I love.”
Having initially applied to work with children, her role includes supporting long-term patients with significant and enduring eating disorders.
“I fell into working with adults and actually I’ve loved it ever since. I don’t think I’ll be turning back anytime soon. It is challenging, but the outcomes outweigh everything.”
With just over two years working at the service, Kelsey speaks highly of her colleagues: “The relationships you build with people all over the service do make the job a little easier.”
Meet Miranda, Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist who describes working with the team in one word “supportive”.
Miranda has worked for the eating disorders service for 13 years, in her role now she works with a range of young people and their families.
“There is a lot of learning, every case is unique and complex.”
Working at the heart of London where the service is primarily based was one of the attractions to the role.
