Among this year’s honourees at the RCSLT (Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists) Awards was Maria Luscombe, former Head of CNWL’s Children’s Services in Harrow.
Maria has been awarded a prestigious RCSLT Fellowship, which celebrates her dedicated service. It is awarded to members who have demonstrated an exceptional impact on service users and the profession.
Claire Eves, Service Director for Outer London Services said:
“Congratulations to our former Head of Children and Young People in Harrow on receiving a Fellowship from the RCSLT. This prestigious honour recognises outstanding contributions to speech and language therapy and is a testament to her dedication, expertise, and impact within the NHS.
"Her commitment to advancing care and supporting both colleagues and patients has made a significant difference in the field. Such a well-deserved achievement and CNWL wish her all the best for the future”.
The ceremony was attended by shortlisted nominees from across the UK, and the awards were presented by the RCSLT President Nick Hewer, CEO Steve Jamieson and Chair Irma Donaldson.
As we celebrate Maria’s Fellowship, we also recognise her recent retirement from CNWL, marking the end of a career that has been impactful and inspiring.
Maria played an instrumental role in CNWL’s Year of the Child campaign, with her leadership and expertise helping to bring focus to the communication and developmental needs of children.
We wish Maria all the best.
