On Friday 10 November, CNWL was honoured to attend a Service of Remembrance at St Pancras Hospital.

We joined up with Op COURAGE and Camden and Islington NHS Trust as well as members of the local veteran community, including service users and colleagues from our Rehabilitation Unit on South Wing, to remember all those who served and lost their lives in conflict.

At the event, we heard from John Alison, Lead Veteran Peer Worker at the Veterans Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (Op COURAGE) who spoke about his lived experience.

Following a two-minute silence, Samara Hammond, Nurse Consultant for Deteriorating Patient and Clinical Skills and herself a Captain in the British Army, laid CNWL’s wreath and shared a personal message.

See below photos from the event.

London Op COURAGE provides free NHS mental health services for all ex-serving members of the UK Armed Forces and service personnel, including those who are making the transition to civilian life and reservists.
