CNWL’s Estates Team, Quality Trusted Solutions (QTS), have been making improvements to South Wing at St Pancras Hospital.

South Wing houses CNWL’s inpatient rehabilitation teams, who provide treatment and support for patients whose physical abilities have been reduced through illness such as stroke, a fall or musculoskeletal conditions.

As part of the improvement works, the former staff locker room has now been converted into a wellbeing and relaxation room giving colleagues a chance to take some time out during their busy day.

QTS are also relocating the locker and changing room from the second floor onto the ground floor, creating a fresh new facility for all ward and community staff.

Aspergillus and St Pancras demolition work

We previously shared an update on the St Pancras site transformation works. Read more here.

The demolition works have now reached a stage where they no longer present a risk to the air quality or contaminates of nearby buildings, including South Wing.

As this risk has now been mitigated, the air filters located around South Wing will now be removed and windows will be unsealed.

We will be working closely with Camden and Islington NHS Estates to remove the units and unseal the windows, with minimal disruption as possible.

Working with you on the live wards, we will work around your needs whilst this is undertaken. We will keep you updated but please ask your clinician if you have any questions.
