Graduates of CNWL’s nursing degree apprenticeship gathered at the trust’s HQ on Wednesday to celebrate their achievements and registration to the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

They are now all working as nurses in a range of services across the trust, including Health and Justice, mental health and community services.

In 2023 fifty-five CNWL HCSWs graduated as registered nurses through the apprenticeship route and Jane Canavan, Assistant Director for Clinical Education, believes this shows the trust’s commitment to the Nursing and AHP apprenticeships.

She added “We’re really excited to see so many talented people graduate as nurses through the apprenticeship route. We know they are going to make fantastic nurses because they all worked for the trust as health care support workers before starting their apprenticeship.”

The Trust will continue to play a leading role in London in supporting the Nursing and AHP apprenticeships.

A cohort of nursing degree apprentices graduated from Buckinghamshire New University in February 2024. You can see some pictures below.

Congratulations to Patience Asogwa, Francis Honrade, Richard Obey and Bolanie Adesina, who are pictured with Helen Collumbine, CNWL’s Lead for the Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship programme.
