Professor Owen Bowden-Jones, Chair, Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs and Consultant Psychiatrist at CNWL has been announced as a successful applicant to the CSaP Policy Fellowship for 2023.
The CSaP (Centre for Science and Policy) Policy Fellowship is a professional development programme at Cambridge University, where you meet with researchers from a wide range of disciplines. It’s aimed at connecting research with the policy world.
Mental health problems in young adults is a particular research interest and Owen is an expert adviser to the Universities UK Drugs Taskforce which is developing a UK wide response to student drug use.
Owen also founded the award-winning Club Drug Clinic in 2010, an innovative service for people experiencing harms from novel psychoactive substances, and has since published popular national training on this topic.
He will be welcomed as a Fellow for the Michaelmas Term, alongside 11 others.
