CNWL’s professional development programme, the Chief Nurse Fellowship, is recruiting for the next cohort of Fellows. The programme was launched last year by Chief Nurse, Maria O’Brien, together with the Directors of Nursing, and designed to develop future nursing leaders.

The year-long Fellowship Programme will provide a unique experience for the individual nurse and is tailored to their particular needs, with the aim of advancing nursing excellence and leadership. Each nurse Fellow will take on an improvement project, and alongside the Chief Nurse, the Directors of Nursing for each division will offer support to successful individuals, facilitating developmental opportunities across the breadth of the Trust.

The fully-funded programme is aimed at Band 7 and/or 8a BAME nurses with at least three years’ experience working at this level, and who are embedded in clinical practice. In this second year, three fellows will be appointed, from across both mental health, learning disability, adult and/or children’s services.

The Fellowship programme is due to start in June 2022.

Staff at CNWL can find the application pack on Trustnet - just search ‘BAME Chief Nurse Fellowship’

The closing date for applications is Friday 29 April 2022.
