Staff from CNWL are celebrating after winning a Positive Practice in Mental Health Award.
The North West London Mental Health Partnership Programme (NW London MHPP), made up of CNWL, West London Trust and the NW London Integrated Care Board have come away as winners in the category: System wide Commissioning for Positive Mental Health Services.
They were recognised at an awards ceremony last night (1 May), which celebrates the best in mental health practice by individuals, teams and organisations.
Meera Mistry, Director of Strategy and Integration said:
“Thank you to all of the team for your work and the difference you have made to over 500 patients and their families. This is validation of the impact you have had and the foundations you have laid.”
The goal of the NM London MHPP was to make sure people who need longer term mental health rehabilitation can access this closer to home, helping them to live independently. In particular, they wanted people to be confident they will be looked after regardless of where they are in the community, whether that is their own home or a supported accommodation.
In addition to the mental health rehabilitation programme, they created a service user and carer panel who oversaw the work and agreed to the priorities.
Congratulations and well done to everyone involved!
