The Blood Borne Virus (BBV) Support Group at CNWL joined forces with CNWL's Mortimer Market Centre for sexual health to host a stall for World AIDS Day. The BBV staff group supports staff members living with HIV and Hepatitis. Festive-themed Christmas condoms, lube, and PrEP pin badges drew in attendees, alongside informative leaflets from the National AIDS Trust (NAT). Proceeds from the event supported the NAT’s vital work.

BBV co-leads Fernando and Oscar, along with PrEP Programme Manager Dominic Reilly, engaged with the community, sparking meaningful conversations about HIV prevention and PrEP. PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) is a medication taken to prevent HIV, offering highly effective protection when used correctly.

The conversation continued on an online webinar exploring the history of HIV, living well with the condition, and insights from the Zero transmissions by 2030 pledge. The meeting shared awareness, support, and fresh data in HIV care.

Staff can find out how to join the group on Trustnet.
