    Today CNWL’s hosted it’s fourth Safety Conversation Day for staff, led by the Trust’s Safety Team and sponsored by the Trust’s Improvement Academy. The virtual event is hosted by Dr Cornelius Kelly, CNWL’s Chief Medical Officer, and Maria O’Brien, Chief Nurse, each year and brings together staff to discuss a range of safety topics. This year’s topics included the patient and carer voice, compassionate engagement and psychological safety, as well as learning from incident investigations and getting the basics right.

  • CNWL's Health and Justice services have five service lines - Adult male, adult female, youth custody, forensic community and offender personality disorder pathway.

  • HMP Send operates as a closed Female Training Prison. It also houses a 20-bed substance misuse unit, an 80-bed resettlement unit and a therapeutic community with a capacity of 40.

  • HMP Coldingley is a male Category C training prison and is focussed on prisoner resettlement. Our healthcare services provide in-house specialist care, and promote independence with a recovery-orientated approach.

  • HMP High Down is an adult male Local Category B. We have a wide ranging primary care team who cover emergency response, medicines management and pharmacy, triage, a range of health clinics and more.

  • We offer a wide range of specialist primary care and mental health services at HMP Downview, a women’s prison.
