The Recovery Day Programme (RDP) provides effective recovery treatment for people with addiction problems in Brent. We help patients get back to a clean and sober lifestyle, free from addiction.
The programme is one of the services offered by New Beginnings (formerly the Addiction Recovery Clinical Centre) delivered by Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL) in partnership with Westminster Drug Project (WDP) and B3 ( Brent Service User Council).
We help people to live a healthy, productive and enjoyable life by offering evidence-based therapies to help people overcome addiction.
We work with our service users to develop life skills and make positive behavioural changes. We also offer support and signposting to further education and employment.
The RDP is led by a consultant clinical psychologist and is National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) compliant. Group sessions are led by a qualified psychotherapist.
The sessions are also co-produced by service users who have lived experience of addictions and understand the challenges of the recovery journey.
Anyone aged over 18 and living in the London Borough of Brent
The RDP is for 12 weeks, running for 6 days of the week. The programme runs from 9.30am until 5pm and features a mixture of group sessions and one-to-one care planned counselling sessions. Additionally the RDP offers an aftercare telephone service and psychology staff will make telephone contact to review how the service user is continuing to put their new skills into practice.
- A key worker should complete the Day Programme Referral Form and send it to: dayprogrammeinfo.cnwl@nhs.net

- An RDP staff member will sit down with the client and look at how the programme can be of help.
