The unit aims to achieve a maximum length of stay of 21 days. It is a nurse-led unit, with a contactable doctor between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, and emergency cover at other times.
The service is available to people over the age of 18 who are registered with a Milton Keynes general practitioner (GP).
The service accepts referrals from healthcare professionals.
