The Lighthouse is a mental health assessment centre at Hillingdon Hospital, which provides patients who require emergency care for their mental health an immediate therapeutic environment to be seen by professionals.
It is located within the main hospital and just off the Acute Medical Unit (AMU) area and is staffed by the CNWL team based at The Riverside Centre in Hillingdon.
This service is for adults (18+) who have been assessed in A&E as needing additional support and require a therapeutic environment to support their mental health.
This service requires a referral from the A&E department. Patients go to A&E as their first point of call for all emergencies/urgent support, including mental health.
