If you are already working for the Trust and want to do extra shifts via the bank, please contact the Temporary Staffing team via the Employee Service Centre (ESC Portal) advising of this. We will then be in a position to provide a bank posting to employees’ to be eligible to work bank shifts in an equivalent role, or in a role which is a band lower than their own role.

FAQs

You can register for the bank via NHS Jobs. The registeration process will include an interview and you will be required to visit one of our nearby sites to verify your identity in person. Depending on your role, you may also be asked to complete some basic tests. The process is as follows:

  • Complete an online application form for the role you wish to apply for via our vacancies (see the green box on the right)
  • Our recruitment team will invite you to interview
  • Once successful, you will complete pre-employment checks and online mandatory training*
  • You will be set up on bank and ready to work

We estimate the recruitment process will take up to four weeks from the date of your interview. If you're already an employee at the Trust, there's a fast-track process for joining the staff bank.
